The project
Qanum is a decentralized monetary network designed from the start for the post-quantum horizon. Its thesis is that the next monetary base layer should not be an overloaded general-purpose blockchain, but a layer specialized in custody, settlement, cryptographic security and robust self-custody, with scaling, advanced privacy and richer execution pushed to higher layers.
The reference implementation, qanum-core, is a Rust full node
(qanumd and qanum-cli) with an embedded-node
library for mobile wallets. It follows Bitcoin Core's behaviour where the
design allows and documents its deliberate deviations.
